形態特徵

• A medium-sized tree, branchlets subterete, glabrous, light gray or brownish.
• Leaves opposite, coriaceous, elliptic or obovate, caudate-acuminate at apex, obtuse at extremity, attenuate or cuneate at base, 4.5–5.5 cm long, 2–2.5 cm broad, lateral veins inconspicuous above, and slightly distinct below; petioles slender, 1 cm long.
• Cymes terminal or axillary, paniculate; pedicels short, glabrous; bracts minute; calyx-tube urceolate, 3 mm long, limb 4-dentate; petals 4, orbicular, 3 mm broad, connate into a calyptra, caducous; stamens numerous, filaments 4 mm long, anthers subcordate; ovary 2-celled; style filiform.
• Fruit elliptic, 1.5 cm long, 7–9 mm in diameter, crowned by the calyx rim.

分布

• 台灣 : Endemic. On Hengchun Peninsula.
